Future of the wiki
On the IRC channel a discussion about the state of the wiki occurred, so I decided to create a talk page where everyone can chip in and voice their opinion. --Redgek (talk) 04:54, 17 October 2017 (EDT)
- To be more precise with the "onslaught" of the spam on the wiki some users (including me) started to ponder ways to solve this. User:Myvar suggested we migrate to github pages as one solution (it operating on git principle with pull requests). I was thinking on simply hardening current wiki with captcha for logging in and signing up. Also maybe some back-end IP filter from known spam IPs. --Redgek (talk) 05:14, 17 October 2017 (EDT)
- Maybe we also need to add new user group. "New user" or something like that. Can't edit wiki (add/edit pages) till either some times passes (2-5 day cooldown?) or manually approved into regular user by admins. (Not scalable, though) --Redgek (talk) 05:58, 17 October 2017 (EDT)
